Privacy Policy

Gandadagudi Radio Effective date: November 4, 2026

Gandadagudi Radio ("we", "us") runs a 24/7 Kannada online radio station from the United States, the Gandadagudi Radio mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android (the "App"), and the website gandadagudiradio.live. This policy explains what information is involved when you use them.

In short: the App does not ask for your name, email, phone number or location, needs no account, has no ads and contains no tracking or analytics tools. We do not sell or share your personal information.

1. Information the App does not collect

The App does not collect, store or send to us:

  • your name, email address, phone number or contacts;
  • your location;
  • photos, files, microphone or camera data;
  • advertising identifiers or browsing history.

The App has no user accounts, no in-app advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools.

2. How the App works, and the services it connects to

To play the station and show what's on, the App connects to these services over secure (HTTPS) connections:

  • Audio streaming — RadioKing. When you press Play, the App streams audio from our streaming provider, RadioKing, and fetches the title of the song currently on air. Like any streaming service, RadioKing's servers receive standard technical information needed to deliver audio — your device's IP address, the type of device and app, and when and how long the stream is played. RadioKing may use this to deliver the stream and to produce anonymous listener statistics for us (for example, how many people are listening).   • Schedule and RJ profiles — our website. The App downloads the show schedule, RJ profiles and photos from gandadagudiradio.live. Our hosting provider receives standard technical information (such as IP address) in its server logs, as with any website visit.

We do not combine this technical information with any other information about you, and we do not use it to identify you.

3. Information stored on your device

The App saves a copy of the show schedule and RJ profiles on your device so it still works when you are offline. This stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App.

4. Permissions

  • Notifications (Android): used only to show the playback controls (play/pause and the song on air) while the radio is playing in the background. We do not send marketing notifications.
  • Background audio: lets the radio keep playing when your screen is locked or you use other apps.

The App does not request access to your microphone, camera, location or contacts.

5. Song requests, dedications and messages

When you tap "Request a song" (or another contact option), the App opens your own email app with a pre-filled message to gandhadagudiradio@gmail.com. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to handle your request. Song requests and dedications may be read on air, including the names you give us — please only include names you are happy to have broadcast. Messages are kept in our email inbox and are not shared with anyone outside the station, except where required by law.

The website's contact form works the same way: we use what you submit only to respond to you.

6. Links to other services

The App and website link to our Instagram and Spotify pages and to our website. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply when you visit them.

7. Children

The App and our broadcasts are for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your choices and rights

  • You can stop all data transfer by pausing the radio or uninstalling the App.
  • You can ask us to delete any email or message you have sent us, or ask what information we hold about you, by emailing gandhadagudiradio@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
  • We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar US state laws.

9. Security

All connections made by the App use encrypted HTTPS. Because the App does not collect personal information, there is very little personal data that could be exposed.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. If a change affects what information the App uses, we will also mention it in the App's release notes.
